چکیده

This work focuses on the half-duplex (HD) relaying based on the generalized quantize-andforward (GQF) scheme in the slow fading Multiple Access Relay Channel (MARC). We consider the case that the relay has no channel state information (CSI) of the relay-to-destination link. Relay listens to the channel in the first slot of the transmission block and cooperatively transmits to the destination in the second slot. In order to investigate the performance of the GQF, the following steps have been taken: 1)The GQF scheme is applied to establish the achievable rate regions of the discrete memoryless half-duplex MARC and the corresponding additive white Gaussian noise channel. This scheme is developed based on the generalization of the Quantize-and-Forward (QF) scheme and single block with two slots coding structure. 2) as the general performance measure of the slow fading channel, the common outage probability and the expected sum rate (total throughput) of the GQF scheme have been characterized. The numerical examples show that when the relay has no access to the CSI of the relay-destination link, the GQF scheme outperforms other relaying schemes, e.g., classic compress-and-forward (CF), decode-and-forward (DF) and amplify-and-forward (AF). 3) for a MAC channel with heterogeneous user channels and quality-of-service (QoS) requirements, individual outage probability and total throughput of the GQF scheme are also obtained and shown to outperform the classic CF scheme.

بررسی کارایی توان کانال تداخلی رله چند ورودی-چند خروجی انبوه

In this paper, power efficiency (PE) of a relay interference channel including multiple transmitter nodes, multiple relay nodes and multiple destination is investigated. It is assumed that the destination and transmitter nodes are equipped with a few number of antennas but the relay nodes have a large number of antennas. Amplify-forward and decode-forward schemes by using MRT/MRC and ZF process...

On the Achievable Rate-Regions for the Gaussian Two-way Diamond Channels

In this channel,we study rate region of a Gaussian two-way diamond channel which operates in half-duplex mode. In this channel, two transceiver (TR) nodes exchange their messages with the help of two relay nodes. We consider a special case of the Gaussian two-way diamond channels which is called Compute-and-Forward Multiple Access Channel (CF-MAC). In the CF-MAC, the TR nodes transmit their mes...

Diversity Multiplexing Tradeoff of the Half-duplex Slow Fading Multiple Access Channel based on Generalized Quantize-and-Forward Scheme

This paper investigates the Diversity Multiplexing Tradeoff (DMT) of the generalized quantizeand-forward (GQF) relaying scheme over the slow fading half-duplex multiple-access relay channel (HD-MARC). The compress-and-forward (CF) scheme has been shown to achieve the optimal DMT when the channel state information (CSI) of the relay-destination link is available at the relay. However, having the...

Extension of the Coverage Region of Multiple Access Channels by Using a Relay

From practical and theoretical viewpoints, performance analysis of communication systems by using information-theoretic results is important. In this paper, based on our previous work on Multiple Access Channel (MAC) and Multiple Access Relay Channel (MARC), we analyze the impact of a relay on the fundamental wireless communications concept, i.e., coverage region of MARC, as a basic model for u...
